Reese Whelen and Magnus Viberg are our Goalie and Prospect of the month.
Over the past two years, Reese has become a regular at the World Pro centre, working on his craft to get better each week he is on the ice. This year he made the jump from Atom 5 to Atom 2 in only his second year of goaltending. Reese’s hard work shows in his play and his compete level. Reese is looking to have a solid Esso Minor Hockey Week and go into playoffs on a roll.
On his side, Magnus is the best example we have of why you should never give up. After a disappointing placement in Midget 3 last year, Magnus used it as a year to develop and focus on his skills. The result is a spot on the Notre Dame Hounds Midget AA team. He currently sits 4th in his league with an 8-4-1 record, 1 shutout and a 2.71 GAA. He is also an affiliate of the Midget AAA Hounds and has made one appearance with them thus far.
