One of World Pro’s founders and now the school’s President, Tyler brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the World Pro team. Tyler has taught goaltenders for more than a decade and has established himself as one of North America’s top goaltending coaches. Tyler has been instrumental in elevating a number of goaltenders from beginner to the NHL, AHL, WHL and College levels. He also continues to train many of them today. Tyler demonstrates a clear understanding of the goaltending position and is second to none when it comes to adapting his teaching to his student’s strengths and weaknesses. Tyler is currently the goaltending consultant for the Portland Winter Hawks (WHL) and the Okanagan Hockey Academy (OHA). He also has previously worked with the St.Louis Blues (NHL) and the Hockey Canada's Program of Excellence.

J.F. joined the World Pro team in 2005 and quickly established himself as one of Western Canada’s premier goaltending instructors. J.F. has been instrumental in developing World Pro’s new crop of goaltending prospects and his views and opinions on the position have helped World Pro reach new levels of excellence in our on ice teaching. When working with goaltenders, J.F. stresses hard work, the importance of details and the simplicity in the movements and execution. J.F. is currently the goaltending consultant for the Medicine Hat Tigers (WHL) and is Head Goaltending Instructor for Team Alberta (Hockey Alberta). In addition, J.F. was involved with Hockey Canada's Program of Excellence camp in June 2012.
After playing 4 seasons in the WHL with the Kootenay Ice and 2 seasons in the AHL with the Worcester Sharks, Taylor was forced into retirement due to hip injuries. Since then, he has devoted his time to analyzing the most effective goaltending techniques and the best ways to get consistent improvement from his students. Taylor’s experience in hockey gives him a great understanding of the game and what it takes to succeed. Taylor is currently the goaltending consultant for the Everett Silvertips (WHL). Taylor is the newest addition to our full time Calgary staff.
Derek joined the World Pro team in 2009 after spending more than 5 years teaching goaltenders in interior British Columbia. His dedication and love for teaching the position have quickly made him of Alberta’s top goaltending instructors. Being a keen student of the game Derek constantly looks for new ways to make his students better. When working with goaltenders Derek uses a high-energy approach. He emphasizes hard work and the importance of developing a strong compete level. Derek is currently the goaltending consultant for the Swift Current Broncos (WHL), Okotoks Oilers (AJHL) and AAA Midget Calgary Buffalos (AMHL). In addition, he works with numerous skill development programs in southern Alberta.
Mike joined the World Pro team in 2009 and had an immediate impact on our team. Prior to joining World Pro, Mike instructed for five years with the Okanagan Hockey School, with three of those years as their head goaltending instructor. Additionally, Mike has also worked with Hockey Canada, helping with the development of minor hockey programs and skills camps. Mike believes in developing strong relationships with his students, which in turn allows him to the get the most of them in terms of effort and commitment. Mike has a very good understanding of the position and stresses the importance of athleticism and hard work when working with goaltenders. Mike is currently the goaltending consultant for the Kootenay Ice (WHL).
Pat Conacher joined our staff in the summer of 2011 as an instructor but is very familiar with our school, having trained with World Pro during his playing days. Pat played his minor hockey in the Calgary Royals organization, and went on playing for 3 different teams at the Junior “A” level. Pat also played for Concordia university College team and had a brief stint in the ECHL. Following his playing career, Pat has coached at the AA Bantam level and is now a scout for the Victoria Royals (WHL). Pat was promoted to our full time staff in December 2011 and is looking forward to dedicating himself to helping goalies get to the next level.
Joel has been a student of Worldpro since 2003. In addition, Joel has been an instructor since 2009. He has instructed numerous Worldpro events outside of Calgary. Joel emphasizes a desire to play the game with consistency and a desire to win. He utilizes his strong knowledge of off-ice training and the physiological part of goaltending to improve his students to their full potential. Joel played minor hockey with the Hounds of Notre Dame. Then followed by a one-year stint in the PJHL. Now moving to Calgary he is looking to obtain a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Calgary.
Tommy has been a student since 2011 and an instructor at our summer camps since 2012. After playing seven professional seasons in Sweden, France and England, Tommy came over to Canada to pursue his education and continue to play at a high level. Currently Tommy plays for the Concordia University Thunder in Edmonton and returns regularly to Calgary to train with World Pro and teach our young up and coming goaltenders. A wealth of knowledge comes with Tommy’s friendly demeanor and personable teaching style. We are happy to have Tommy back for a second summer!
A long time student, Marcus joined our staff in April of 2013 as a junior instructor. Born and raised in Prince George, BC, Marcus had a very successful minor hockey career including a U-17 BC Cup championship as well as top goaltender honors in the BC Major Midget League. Marcus recently finished his playing career with the Nelson Leafs of the KIJHL and has joined World Pro to advance his coaching career. Marcus has been a junior instructor at the past two Prince George summer camps and is building good relationships with the goalies in and around the centre at World Pro’s spring programs. World Pro is proud to have Marcus on staff at our Calgary facility! Welcome aboard!
