Training for goaltenders has gotten increasingly better and as a result it has become very hard for non-experts to distinguish which goalies have the best skill sets for the modern game. Additionally, bringing outside evaluators that have no “history” with any of the goaltenders being evaluated in selecting and no agenda in ranking goaltenders ensure that every goaltender trying out receives a fair and just evaluation. World Pro Goaltending offers to help minor hockey associations help in the evaluation process. We propose to run on ice skill sessions, as well as evaluate games and scrimmages. At the end of the process, each goaltender is giving a report card. Contact our office for more information.

One of our professional staff members will go to your association to run goaltending clinics. These clinics are personalized to meet each association’s individual needs. Clinics may include both an on ice and off ice component. Coaches are also invited to come out and see what their goaltenders learn during the on ice sessions.

At World Pro Goaltending we believe that all minor hockey coaches should have some knowledge about the goaltending position. This would greatly help all young goaltenders. Additionally it would ensure that practice plans are adapted to meet the needs of the goaltenders as well as their other players. Furthermore, coaches would also be able to help their goaltenders during games. Coaches don’t need to have an in-depth knowledge of the position, but we advocate that it is important that they should have some knowledge on basic aspects such as depth, angles, the butterfly and recoveries.
World Pro Goaltending offers clinics for coaches to minor hockey associations. They can include both an on ice and classroom component. The on ice component will give them drills that they can use during practices and in the classroom component we will go over the fundamentals of modern goaltending: positioning, skating, and the butterfly technique.
